On the first Friday of each month, Old City's galleries, studios, shops and restaurants open their doors for First Friday, in an epic exhibition of the neighborhood's vibrant arts scene. Old City Arts Association launched First Friday in 1991 to re-introduce Philadelphia to the Old City neighborhood, along with the artists and designers who brought it back to life.
